By Staff Writer | State News Service | NEW RALEIGH
Early Tuesday morning NRPD discovered an unmarked black van idling at the northbound shoulder of Capitol Boulevard, its engine still warm but the (notably lavish) interior conspicuously empty. The discovery has reignited public speculation surrounding the fate of the popular indie band Weston Estate, who vanished two years ago following a controversial performance that defied curfew protocols.
Forensic teams conducted a preliminary search of the van, but officials say no DNA, fingerprints, or personal effects were recovered. “There is no evidence at this time linking this vehicle to these individuals,” said Peacekeeper Commandant Victor Haldane during a brief press conference Tuesday afternoon. “To entertain such an idea is nothing short of ridiculous.”

“While our clinics ration antibiotics and our linemen rebuild the lines, these profiteers diverted supplies and glorified violence.”
Witnesses said officers advanced through the alleys just before two o’clock, moving without lanterns and signaling by tap codes against brick to avoid spooking sentries. Inside, men circled a chalked square on the cement floor, exchanging cash by hand. One fighter had already collapsed when police flooded the room, according to a medic who requested anonymity because he was not authorized to speak…
